They have cone-shaped profiles, teeth that project radially from their bore, and operate in pairs with varying teeth counts but similar angle pressure, tooth length, and diametric pitch. They're used to alter speeds and increase torque in mechanical appliTXAions such as differential drives, plant and mill machinery, and power tools.
